Overlooked blessings
Pampering yourself.
Listening to the whispers of your authentic self and taking your own advice.
The generosity and hospitality of good neighbors.
Finding a lost pet.
Rediscovering old family photos.
The intimate bond of friendship that protects, nurtures, inspires and comforts.
The man or woman in your life who is neither a past or present love but simply a precious friend who adores you.
Waking up to a perfectly beautiful day for a planned outdoor event.
The haven of a comforting shoulder to cry on; the warming embrace of a loved one.
Working with people you enjoy being around.
An opportunity to interview for the dream job. Getting it.
Receiving the perfect gift. Finding one for someone else.
Catching a glimpse of yourself in the mirror and delighting in what you see.
An unexpected compliment that makes your day.
Completing the crossword puzzle without help.
Listening to the oldies and recalling happy moments.
Paying off your credit card balance.
Coming up with the perfect retort at the moment you need it and not two hours later.
Friends and family who can both truly rejoice with you and console you in times of sorrow.

Quotes to live (and laugh) by
A neurotic is one who builds castles in the air,
A psychotic is one who lives in them,
And a psychotherapist is one that collects the rent.

Let me tell you something that we Israelis have against Moses. He took us 40 years through the desert in order to bring us to the one spot in the Middle East that has no oil! ~ Golda Meir
Roses are red, Violets are blue. I'm schizophrenic, and so am I. ~Oscar Levant
And finally, lots of food for thought:
Don't let what you cannot do interfere with what you can do. ~John Wooden
Somehow I can't believe that there are any heights that can't be scaled by a man who knows the secrets of making dreams come true. This special secret, it seems to me, can be summarized in four Cs. They are curiosity, confidence, courage, and constancy, and the greatest of all is confidence. When you believe in a thing, believe in it all the way, implicitly and unquestionably. ~Walt Disney
To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson
A bird doesn't sing because it has an answer, it sings because it has a song. ~Maya Angelou

Dreams surely are difficult, confusing, and not everything in them is brought to pass for mankind. For fleeting dreams have two gates: one is fashioned of horn and one of ivory. Those which pass through the one of sawn ivory are deceptive, bringing tidings which come to nought, but those which issue from the one of polished horn bring true results.
